Credit Action new joint initiative with Stewardship and Alpha

The Money Course is joint initiative between Holy Trinity Brompton/Alpha, Stewardship and Credit Action. It is a 4 week ‘plug and play’ course for churches, giving them the tools and materials to run money management courses for their local communities and congregations.

The course enables individuals to build a personal or household budget step-by-step and course includes strategies for controlling and balancing the budget and practical ways for managing day to day spending. It also covers wider issues of financial planning, regular saving, the wise use of credit and the importance of generous giving and enables delegates to find one-to-one support from trained budget coaches where needed.

The course is being launched in its pre-publication format with full publication scheduled for May 2012.

Credit Action are excited to be working with Alpha and Stewardship on this initiative and we believe that thousands of individuals will benefit from the opportunity to attend the course, improve their financial skills and review their day-to-day finances.

Course leader training dates are currently scheduled for Saturday May 21st and Friday September 9th in London and Saturday September 17th in Manchester/Liverpool (tbc).

Churches interested in using the course, can find more details and register for course leader training via the website: www.themoneycourse.org.
