Credit Action supports 'Keep the Promise'

End Child PovertyCredit Action is a member of the campaign to End Child Poverty. We are happy to be involved in the campaign’s efforts because we believe that better thinking about money has a key part to play in helping people in all walks of life but we place a particular emphasis on those who are most vulnerable.

Helping people who are in financial hardship is thus central to our vision and children in families suffering under the burden of poverty are one of the most tragic examples of such hardship.

Therefore we as a charity are pleased to be supporting the 'Keep The Promise' event at Trafalgar Square on Saturday October 4.

The End Child Poverty campaign is determined to hold the government to its promise of ending child poverty by 2020; demanding a better future for our children. The event will be attended by Sophie Ellis Bextor, and hosted by the actor and TV presenter Christopher Parker, so come, and join the call for the government to Keep The Promise and End Child Poverty.

The Keep The Promise event will begin with a short march led by children and families, accompanied by bands into Trafalgar Square. If you wish to take part, please assemble from 11.30am at Millbank, near Lambeth Bridge to march at 12.30pm.

There will be activity in Trafalgar Square from 1.30pm but the event will begin at 2pm when the march arrives.
